 | We count 2000,  in the beginning  there was a dark and unused  place in
 | a  squat  in the center  of Utrecht. Old 486 pc's saved  from the trash
 | were brought in, a 28k8 modem appeared and with the squeeking sounds of
 | bytes being modulated,  the flow of information began.  Utrecht had its 
 | first internetcafe. It was free for all to use, running on every second
 | hand bit of hardware we could get our hands on.  Everything ran on free
 | and open source software  and the place soon turned into a  hideout for 
 : hackers,  squatters,  travellers,  punks,  the homeless and an eclectic 
 : mixture of various other personalities.
